I grew up in the suburbs around the GTA. I started drawing because it allowed me to express myself in a more open and creative way, where words often failed me. I generally like to draw with pencils my sketchbooks because I like the feel if the lead on the paper and allows me to feel more connected to my work. I would have to say, I truly became passionate about my drawing about 5 years ago. I would not be who I am today without art in my life.
