This is a painting made in oil showcasing a beautiful landscape in British Columbia. I used my own reference photo that I had taken whilst on vacation in 2019.

One of my favourite things to make are portraits and exploring a semi-realistic digital style. I am also really interested in supernatural or horror movie themes and combining those interests with character design. This is one of my character concepts and for this piece I used my own eyes as reference.

I made this painting while trying out the app HEAVYPAINT on the iPad. I later moved the image to Procreate to create a dramatic sense of lighting.

This is a portrait of a Visual Artist named Dolli (@dolli.glam) She was on Season 3 of the makeup show Glow Up on Netflix. She is an incredible makeup artist and this is a fanart recreation of one of my favourite looks she has worn. She was able to see my painting online and responded positively by commenting and reposting to her Instagram stories. It was a very fun moment!

This was a 40 minute drawing focusing on drapery. This is another conte drawing completed from my Advanced drawing course.

This piece was made for my Hard Core Figure Drawing Course during my last semester in VCA. The assignment was titled, "Expressive Figure Composition". I was tasked to draw the live model in uncomfortable and unexpected ways and use interesting shape design to create an overall interesting composition. For example, I drew with conte taped to a long piece of bamboo stick and drew some parts of the model and created expressive marks using my non-dominate hand.

This is a figure painting I made for my Advanced Painting Studio course. The assignment was focused on capturing the models heavy pose and expression and pairing it with the dramatic lighting inspired by Film Noir techniques.

This was a fun assignment in one of my painting classes. It was a black and white value study and we had freedom to choose the film reference. Since I am a lover of everything supernatural, a Dracula film was an obvious choice.

This is one ink drawing out of several that I made during my last drawing class in VCA. The assignment was focused on shape design and creating an interesting composition by cropping the final image.

This is the second ink drawing I made for my advanced drawing course. The drawing reference is taken from a scene in the old television show, I Love Lucy.

This is one of a series of ink drawings I made for an assignment in the Advanced Drawing course. I had to make a series of life ink drawings and I could add black and white studies from a T.V. show of my choosing. In total I made 2 life drawings and 2 drawings from the I Love Lucy Show.

A male figure study I made in 2021 for my first figure painting class. I was provided the reference photo and this was the first time I spent a considerable about of time making a male figure study with oil paint. I learned a lot during this experience.

An exploratory, mix media painting loosely based on space. I was inspired by traditional collage pieces I have seen online. I used a combination of oil and acrylic paint and I had fun experimenting with a molding paste to incorporate interesting textures.

A landscape painting I made for my Media Jam class. The reference was a picture I took on vacation at Pitt Meadows in British Columbia.

I wanted the meaning of this piece to be on the ambiguous side. Is this couple struggling to put themselves back together, or are they slowing picking each other apart?

This is a painting loosely inspired by the book series, The Plated Prisoner by Raven Kennedy and the song Rabbit Heart by Florence and the Machine. I wanted to show the connection I felt from the lyrics of Rabbit Heart to the emotional turbulence the main character in Ravens novel experiences.

This was my last drawing assignment where I had to draw a minimum of three figures with animal heads and place them in an interesting composition and story. Story: Forbidden lovers, secret meetings, and a whiff of deceit The young Princess and the Devious Duke just got caught sharing a passionate moment on an outdoor stairwell during one of the castles parties. The not-so-secret- secret couple have been caught by the Princess’ arranged betrothed, the High Commander of the Kings court. How did the Commander find out? There was surely no one around or at least busy with the party festivities. Perhaps there are curious night owls lurking about. Despite the Dukes reputation for frequently entertaining female "friends" and rumors about starting schemes for sport, surely, he had nothing to do with it? What a scandal this will be!

This was a page in my sketchbook taken from one of my painting classes. I had to complete as many pages in my sketchbook as I could during the course and this one was one of my favourite.

A self portrait I made when I turned 23 years old.

I have decided to make one self portrait every year so I can one day look back at them and see myself and my art skills change and evolve over time.
