Charlie (Mouse) Doewich is a queer, fat, multidisciplinary artist based in Ontario exploring growth, identity, ecology, and systemic issues within health care. Using animals as a metaphor to explore both comforting relationships and hardships experienced by fat and queer bodies, Mouse explores these complex emotions and experiences through a multidisciplinary practice. Employing media from paint, clay and found materials, Mouse aims to bring comfort and visibility to marginalized people. Mouse creates with the goal of provoking honest conversations about reconstructing societal structures and fostering kinder human dynamics.
